Mapping Your Future: Career Trip to Amersfoort

The Career Committee is very excited to announce that on the 16th of January we planned our first event, namely the daytrip to Amersfoort!
Have you ever wondered what the career prospects are with your (upcoming) history degree? In Amersfoort we will travel to two locations that can show you exciting opportunities for future historians. First, we will go to the headquarters of a political party: the Christenunie. They will show us the ins and outs of working for a political organisation. Afterwards we will visit the Rijksdienst Cultureel Erfgoed. There they will show how they deal with heritage; in preservering monuments, helping museums and archeologists, etc. The program ends at around 16.00 after which there is time to finish the day with some drinks. Keep in mind that you’ll need to arrange your own transportation back.
The entire day trip gives you a unique chance to view your career chances from up close. The price of the day trip varies based on what kind of public transport you have:
- Week OV: 4 euros
- Weekend/no OV: 7 euros
