Dearest,
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if a museum wasn’t contained to a building?
If art and history could be experienced outside, placed within the landscape?
This is your chance to get an early preview into @Veldatlas, a project which explores this
question! On June 11th, we will be testing the first Veldatlas walking route with you. This
route makes the story of the Viertorenkerk of Midwolda come to life. This medieval church
was bigger than the Martinikerk in Groningen, but only remnants of the Viertorenkerk
remain today. Throughout the route, we will experience the disappearance of this church
through art and storytelling

This activity is open to all students, even if you are not an Ubbo member. It will be free to
attend! We start at 13:10 at De Schakel in Midwolda, but you can also travel there with us
from Groningen. In that case, please be at hoofdstation Groningen at 12. The activity ends
around 17, after which you can join us for some beers on the beach of Midwolda. We will
be walking for around two hours, so be sure to bring enough food and water.
